Custom Fabrication

Most grating projects are not rectangles. In DONGFU's steel grating factory, press welding handles suitable standard panels and manual fabrication handles irregular, press-locked and heavy-duty custom work, all coordinated from your approved drawings.

What we fabricate

  • Irregular shapes: circular, fan-shaped, trapezoidal, notched and curved-edge panels

Machine precision, manual skill

In DONGFU's steel grating factory, press welding supports repeatable standard panels, while manual fabrication handles one-off irregular panels, heavy sections, press-locked style work and details required by the approved drawing.

The project team can convert general arrangement drawings into fabrication-ready panel drawings, with panel numbers keyed to the area and installation sequence.

How a custom order runs

Send your drawings and requirements. We confirm specifications — span, load, material, finish — then detail panels, confirm the layout with you, produce, inspect, galvanize and pack in installation sequence. You receive fabrication drawings for approval before production starts.

    PDF, CAD or clear sketches with span direction and loads.

  2. Specification confirmation

    Bar size, spacing, material, surface and finish agreed.

  3. Panel detailing

    CAD panel drawings with numbering issued for approval.

  4. Production

    Press-welded standards plus manual custom fabrication.

  5. QC & galvanizing

    Agreed dimensional checks, then hot-dip galvanizing with specified reports.

  6. Export packing

    Tagged, bundled and loaded in installation sequence.

Custom Fabrication FAQs

Can you work from my layout drawings?
Yes — drawing-based coordination is the normal workflow. The project team details panels from your drawings and issues the required layout for approval before production.
What is the largest panel you can make?
Press-welded panels run up to about 6100 mm in the bearing bar direction and 1000–1200 mm wide; larger areas are split into numbered panels. Single panels are kept within roughly 70–100 kg for safe handling and galvanizing.
Can you make circular or fan-shaped panels?
Yes — irregular shapes are manual-welded and fully banded. Small openings below about 50 mm are reviewed with our technicians because zinc can bridge them during galvanizing.
Do you charge for detailing?
Panel detailing is part of the order workflow; any special engineering scope is clarified at quotation stage.
